People, Place and Community report launch
Tue 23rd February 2021
3:00 pm - 4:30 pm
FoL’s People, Place and Community project has been radically shaped by the Covid-19 pandemic. It led us to go beyond the physical built environment and to look in detail about how digital communities can have a huge impact on people’s connection to their local area and neighbours.
This webinar will look at the best approaches the built environment sector in London can take to encourage communities to thrive and explore the three main insights from the report:
– Good quality design: Quality design plays a critical role in our experience of connection. How can the sector ensure that this is achieved for all members of the community?
– Community ecosystems: Rather than imposing new approaches and ideas, how can we identify, foster and develop existing community ecosystems and help them thrive?
– Inclusive digital connectivity: What role does the built environment sector have to play in overcoming the digital divide?
This event is open to all and encourages attendees to bring their comments, ideas and questions which we will pick up on in the audience Q&A.
