Impactful investment to address the private rental crisis, with fair, resident-controlled housing

Collective Ownership offers control and security for private renters with increasing affordability over time, and mechanisms to ensure others benefit in future.

The Collective Ownership Society gives residents day-to-day control of the property through their member co-op, as well as a stake in the Society. The control and security allows for a sense of community and belonging, and better planning in all aspects of their lives, and the ability to invest in energy efficiency measures.

With the benefit of our sector experience, we’ve worked with advisers, lenders and lawyers to craft a high impact and efficient investment vehicle capable of delivering an innovative form of tenure that bridges the gap between the private rented sector, home ownership, and social housing.

Our approach provides a better experience than private renting from the start; improves affordability over time; combines resident control with scalability; works for purchasing existing stock or new build developments; and caters for a broad range of households seeking security, stability, and belonging.
